Exam Information

  • Please refer to the Bylaws (Article V) regarding the requirements for each exam.
  • May 2026, June 2026, July 2026, September 2026, October 2026, and November 2026, there is a Pathways to Certification Course occurring focused on test preparation. If you’d like to attend, please contact asullivan@msc.tax.
  • These virtual sessions will include group discussion, working through example questions, general review of content from the Study Guide, and feedback from recent exam takers.
  • Fees: There is a fee of $250 for the exam (ask about the new member discount).

Study Guide

  • The Study Guide is available to assist you in your preparation. It is meant to guide your understanding of the full scope of the test, not to serve as a comprehensive answer key. There are a variety of other materials (Rev. Proc., IRC sections, Master Depreciation Guide, etc.) referenced in the Study Guide that should be used to aid in your studying.
  • Updates are currently being made to the Study Guide.
  • The updates occurring to the guide include references to changes from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, American Tax Relief Act, CARES Act, and the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

ASCSP 20th Anniversary Certification Advancement Program

In celebration of the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals’ (ASCSP) 20th Anniversary, ASCSP is pleased to announce a limited-time testing advancement initiative designed to encourage continued professional growth and reinforce the standards that define our organization.

Program Overview


As ASCSP marks two decades of leadership, education, and professional excellence, this program recognizes members who take the next step in their professional development by pursuing ASCSP Member status or CCSP certification during this milestone year.
Effective May 1, 2026, ASCSP will reimburse the exam testing fee for the first 20 individuals who successfully pass either:
• The ASCSP Member Exam
• The Certified Cost Segregation Professional (CCSP) Exam

Key Dates

  • Program Start Date: May 1, 2026
  • Exam Completion Deadline: December 31, 2026
  • Program Limit: Reimbursement available to the first 20 qualifying individuals

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be an ASCSP member in good standing at the time the exam is taken
  • Exam must be the ASCSP Member Exam or the CCSP Exam
  • Only the first exam attempt is eligible for reimbursement
  • The exam must be passed
  • The exam must be taken between May 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026
  • Reimbursement is limited to the first 20 individuals who meet all requirements

Reimbursement Details

  • Reimbursement is limited to the actual exam testing fee paid
  • Study materials, preparation courses, travel, and other related costs are not eligible
  • Reimbursement will be issued after ASCSP confirms exam passage and required documentation

Additional Program Rules

  • One reimbursement per individual; members may not receive reimbursement for both exams
  • Reimbursement is non-transferable
  • Exams taken prior to May 1, 2026 are not eligible
  • Failed exam attempts are not eligible for reimbursement
